KARACHI: Rain returned to Karachi on Tuesday as a new weather system affected the city, bringing relief from hot conditions while once again raising concerns about water accumulation and urban flooding.
Local reports said several parts of Karachi received rainfall as authorities monitored the changing weather conditions. Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority has also been directed to intensify relief efforts in rain-affected areas.
Karachi’s drainage infrastructure remains a major concern whenever significant rainfall hits the city. Low-lying areas and major roads can experience water accumulation, potentially disrupting traffic and daily life.
Residents have been advised to remain alert to weather updates, particularly if rainfall intensifies or continues for extended periods.
