Oil Prices Jump Above $105
LONDON: Global oil markets are facing renewed turbulence after attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure triggered fresh fears over international supplies.
Brent crude climbed to around $105.74 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate reached about $101.66, with prices briefly moving even higher during the session.
The attacks have increased concerns about Saudi Arabia’s ability to maintain exports if key infrastructure remains disrupted. Analysts warn that a prolonged outage could push crude prices significantly higher.
For consumers around the world, higher crude prices could eventually translate into more expensive petrol, diesel, transportation and goods.
